About Harry Rady (La Jolla)

Harry Rady is the CEO and Senior Portfolio Manager of Rady Asset Management based in San Diego, California. He manages the Rady Contrarian Long/Short Fund and the Long-Only Rady Opportunistic Value Fund available in Mutual Fund, LP, and SMA formats. The portfolios are managed using the firms proprietary, bottom-up, contrarian investment approach which is focused on managing risk/downside protection (down capture) and generating alpha (excess returns), in both long and short portfolio holdings.  Prior to establishing Rady Asset Management, he was the Chief Investment officer of ICW Group and American Assets, a multi-billion dollar financial, investment, and real estate conglomerate.  He was also a Director of Westcorp, Western Financial Bank, an Anheuser Bush distributor, a major market radio broadcasting group, and Summit Resources.  He currently serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for Rady Children’s Hospital and is on the Deans Advisory Board at the Rady School of Management at UCSD.  Additionally, he is a Director of the California Board of Child Help USA and is a member of L3.  Mr. Rady is also a frequent contributor to CNBC, Barron’s, Forbes, the WSJ and other financial publications.   Mr. Rady received his BA and MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
